APSA-80 as an irrigation aid:-

Recommended use:-

  • Mix 160 ml of APSA 80 in atleast 80 litres of water for every acre of land you want to irrigate. The dosage will remain 160ml per acre of land even if the water required is more than 80 litres to cover an acre of land.
  • Spray this mix on the land you want to irrigate at least 12 hours in advance before it rains or before irrigating it.
  • Now the land is ready to be irrigated.
  • This spray would remain effective for 4 weeks
  • After 4 weeks, for irrigation, repeat the above mentioned process.

BENEFITS: For hard to wet soil

  • Increases water penetration, gets more water into the soil, thus helps in reducing evaporative water losses and runoff. Hence saves water
  • Aids irrigation by increasing rate at which water soaks into soil; promote MORE EFFICIENT water usage.
  • Reduces the frequency of irrigation.

The International and Indian test results on variety of crops prove the effectiveness of APSA-80 for improving pesticide coverage and performance. It provides more uniform spray deposit on plants; improves coverage of insecticide, herbicide, fungicide and foliar fertilizer sprays while increasing water penetration. It also helps improve performance of post-emergent herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides thorough wetting action.

APSA-80 contains special ingredients-‘Non Ionic Surfactants’ that break down the surface tension of the water. These surfactants work on the surface of the water droplet to reduce its tendency to bead up by pulling the water and the wax on the leaf surface together, reducing the water’s surface tension and causing the water droplet to spread out. When the water used in pesticide sprays spreads out more evenly, the result is much better pesticide coverage. Adding APSA-80 helps insecticides, defoliators and foliar fertilizers to penetrate the surface of the leaf faster and more evenly. which results in to better disease/pest control and thus better yield.

With Insecticides, Fungicides, Foliar Fertilizers & Defoliators, prepare the solution as per instructions by the pesticide manufacturer. Add 5 ml (1/4th capful) of APSA-80 per 15 litre of this solution. But with Post emergent Herbicides solution mix 20 ml (1 capful) of APSA-80 per 15 litres of solution. Spray the solution normally on the crop. As an Irrigation aid or in Golf Courses, mix 160 ml of APSA-80 ( 8 capfuls) in at least 80 litres of water per acre. Dosage of APSA-80 will remain 160 ml even if more water is required to cover one acre of land. Spray this solution directly on soil on the entire land area. Wait for 12 hours and then irrigate the land. The above mentioned spray of APSA-80 will remain effective for about 4 weeks. Even if you irrigate the land more than once in these 4 weeks, you will not require to spray APSA-80.
Starting APSA-80 and having healthy soil, your baby plants will have the best chance for having longer roots, and have the best chance to fight off sickness disease and grow strong and healthy into their main growth stage for the application of Nutriplant AG Organic Fertilizer and APSA-80 mixture.

APSA-80 Used as Soil Conditioner

By lowering the surface tension of water, APSA-80 can increase the rate at which water soaks into soil, breakup compaction allowing deeper roots and better take-up of water and nutrients, reduce water losses due to evaporation and runoff, increase water holding capacity, maintain more nitrogen in the upper profile of the soil and increase crop yields. Application of APSA-80 can be combined with the application of your pre-emergent herbicide to eliminate extra passes through the fields.

The use of APSA-80 Adjuvant rice crop in a field with severe compaction resulted in an average increase of 17.6 canvans per hectare in yield and a 30% increase in root depth at 90% root volume. These results are because of APSA-80's effect as a Non-Ionic Surfactant that greatly helps to alleviate the effects of compacted soil.

Using APSA-80 Adjuvant on the soil will greatly increase soil infiltration rates. For example, sandy loam and or sandy clay loam subsoil, this soil combination most prone to compaction. APSA-80 is used for soil compaction relief has also proven to be effective in increasing crop yields in all crops of rice, corn, vegetables, fruits and flowers. Test Your Soil Before Planting

Before you even get started planting, it's best to test your soil and determine what you'll be working with. Take some soil to have it analyzed, or perform a pH test on your own with a pH test kit.

Condition Soil with APSA-80

After you've determined the type of soil and the soil’s composition, it's time to condition your soil. This is the point at which you will give your future crops the best chance of producing an abundance of rice, vegetables, and fruit growth to meet your goals and expectations.

There was an article on this in Times Of India dated 24th Mar’14. Below is the said article.
ICC seeks DDCA's help to combat dew in Bangladesh
NEW DELHI: The persistent heavy dew in the ongoing World T20 in Bangladesh is causing quite a problem at the tournament. Captains winning the toss have invariably decided on bowling first as dew later in the evening often plays a decisive factor.
On Saturday, to get a grip on the conditions ahead of their evening tie with New Zealand, England bowlers were seen dipping the ball in a bucket of water before they bowled during warm-up. Struggling to control the amount of dew on the ground has forced the ICC to seek help from India. According to sources, ICC pitches consultant Andy Atkinson called up the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) for an anti-dew agent which the DDCA has been using since the inaugural IPL in 2008. "Atkinson had seen our curator Venkat Sundaram using the chemical to combat dew which was quite effective. So he called to know if we could send the chemical across to Bangladesh," DDCA president Sneh Bansal confirmed the news to TOI on Sunday.
DDCA checked with BCCI chief curator Daljit Singh whether the chemical - APSA 80 -- is certified by the Indian board and is used across all centres in India following which, an official flew to Bangladesh with 60 litres of the de-humidifying product. The unprecedented dew even though summer has already knocking at the door in Bangladesh and the inability to control it has got the ICC bothered. "It is imperative to have the grass cut very small while keeping in mind that the fielders don't get hurt, and make sure moisture doesn't settle for a few days ahead of the matches. The local curators should be learning these things from the ICC curators who are taking care of things there.

"The key is not letting any moisture settle in even before using this agent and after spraying it after which soppers and rollers can't be used on the ground," said a source.
